On December 31st, 1967, Evel Knievel made his not so successful jump over the fountains at Ceasers Palace. It wasn't long before Evel Knievel became a household name. In 1973 Ideal Toy Company released the first three toys in their new Evel Knievel line. The Scramble Van, Stunt Cycle, and EK figure. They were an instant hit, and sold out quickly. Ideal continued to add new toys to the line each year. In 1977 the line was abruptly canceled, when Evel assaulted the author of a book written about him. Although The Evel Knievel toy line grossed over $350 million dollars, and was one of the most popular toy lines ever created. Some even credit it with saving the failing toy industry at the time. Yet not much exists about it today. This website was created to preserve one of most iconic toy lines in history. So, sit back, relax, and relive a little of your childhood!
